1 Arrested After Sheraden Shooting, SWAT Operation

SHERADEN (KDKA) - Gunfire in the Sheraden community Tuesday night resulted in the SWAT team being called out this morning.

According to police, Zone Six officers responded to shots being fired at the corner of Bergman and Ashlyn Streets around 9 p.m.

When they arrived, they found a 27-year-old white male who had been shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.

Their investigation led police to a house in the 3000-block of Zephyr Street at 5 a.m.

A search warrant was served with the help of the SWAT team.

So far, only one suspect has been arrested. He has been identified as Lenell Ptomey, 30, of Sheraden.

He's being held at the Allegheny County Jail and is facing numerous charges including, attempted homicide.
