Raise The Jolly Roger! Man Pops Question To Girlfriend At Pirates Game
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Jolly Rogers waving at PNC Park come in all shapes, colors and sizes. And so does the dashing garb of the devoted Pirates' fan.
On a day set aside to "Talk Like a Pirate," two buccaneer couples chose to dress up in festive attire. So who, indeed, may these bilge rats be?
"I'm just myself," says Lonn Shaffer. "It was 10 minutes, go to the thrift store and get myself together."
Then, there's his friend, Justin Barkley, who was decked out as Captain Jack Sparrow.
"I've got a little bit of everything," he says. "A little compass to direct me, the key to a treasure; a little bit of everything except a pistol and a sword. They kind of frowned on that at the door."
All at once, Captain Jack proposes marriage to the lovely Angelica, also known as Colleen Simpson.
Due to cheers from nearby fans, we can't hear what is said. But we do find out the answer.
"Yes!" exclaims Angelica.
Shiver me timbers, it's a moment to... treasure!
