North Shore Buzzing During Busy Black & Gold Weekend

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It's a wild weekend on the North Shore.

For the first time ever, a Steelers night game will follow an afternoon Pirates game; and the city, along with officials from Heinz Field and PNC Park, are hoping the crowds don't turn into chaos.

The Steelers are urging football fans to wait until after 6 p.m. to come to the North Shore.

KDKA's Kym Gable talked to some fans who consider Sunday's match-up a dream double-play.

They plan to tackle both games.

"Hopefully, get down here before everyone else does, and then we'll see what happens at the end of the Pirates game tomorrow," said Betsy Brown, of Butler.

Lisa Aiken is in town from Ohio.

"It's crazy," she said. "I heard it's going to be even crazier tomorrow and everything else."

All the crowds translate into cash for local businesses.

Hotels are completely booked and restaurants are bustling with locals and guests from Cincinnati and Chicago.
