Lawrence Co. Furniture Store Damaged In Fire

NEW CASTLE (KDKA)- Officials say a fire at a Lawrence County furniture store was intentionally set Tuesday night.

According to officials at the scene, the fire started around 11:30 Tuesday p.m., outside of Haney's Comfort Living furniture warehouse and store on North Beaver Street in New Castle.

Fire crews say some mattresses behind the business were set on fire and the fire spread to part of the building.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames, and no one was hurt.

The fire did minimal damage to the inside of the store.

The fire is being investigated as an arson.
