MCKEESPORT (KDKA) – A McKeesport convenience store was robbed Monday, and it’s not the first time.

Police say a man with a gun held up the store early Monday morning.

In fact, investigators tell KDKA the D’s Mini Mart on Union Street has been robbed five times in the past year, with Monday’s robbery making it the 6th robbery.

McKeesport detectives are looking at newly installed surveillance camera video of the robbery, hoping to get a better look at the suspect.

Residents hope the robberies won’t scare the two sisters who own the store.

“It’s a shame you can’t do your business. It seems like in this neighborhood if you have more than them, they’re gonna take it,” one neighbor told KDKA’s Ross Guidotti.

Police say the suspect will face armed robbery charges. They say the suspect got away with $25 and some cigarettes.
