PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are investigating after two people were injured in separate shootings around the city Wednesday evening.

According to police, a man was shot three times in the 6900-block of Churchland Street in Lincoln-Lemington around 8 p.m.

The man is in critical condition after suffering gunshot wounds to the stomach, back and side.

Police did recover the gun that is believed to have been used in the shooting at the scene.

While officers were investigating the Churchland Street shooting, they received word about a 16-year-old male showing up at Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to the ankle.

The victim may have been shot on North Homewood Avenue, but there is no word if both shootings are connected at this time.

The names of the victims have not been released.
