1 Injured After Truck Crashes Into Mt. Oliver Home

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person was injured when a truck crashed into a house Monday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 400-block of Mountain Avenue in Mt. Oliver.

When the driver hit the home, homeowner Anthony Pietzak was inside with his sister watching TV.

"We heard some kind of noise and then a big bang and the house shook and I just ran to the door to see what was going on," Pietzak said. "I didn't know, I figured something hit our house, but I wasn't sure what it was."

Once at the door, Pietzak noticed the driver. He was out of the truck and close to the house -- he was alert and talking. He didn't say what caused him to crash though.

"He was like, kind of laying there and he said he's hurt, I said 'I'm calling the police,' he said 'yeah, I'm hurt,' so I just figured that was the best thing to do -- just call the police to come out," Pietzak said.

Police arrived on scene and the driver was taken to the hospital.

No word on whether any charges will be filed.
