Steelers LB Larry Foote Says Rex Ryan Is No Dick LeBeau

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Steelers LB Larry Foote joined The Fan Morning Show Tuesday morning in his weekly spot to preview the upcoming game with the New York Jets.

Foote said the Jets are always going to be tough on defense and said the D-Line looked very impressive in a 30-28 win over the Falcons on Monday Night Football.

"Rex Ryan is no Dick LeBeau," Foote said, but the Jets are doing good things right now. Foote said the Steelers should benefit from coming off the bye week and facing a team that just played on Monday Night.

One of those bright spots for the Jets is QB Geno Smith who threw for three more TDs last night.

"He is growing up right before our eyes," Foote said on Smith who has the Jets at (3-2) and looking like he is starting to figure it out in the NFL.

Foote said the Steelers' goals remain the same and that the playoffs are still reachable, but there is no more room for error and they must get this win on Sunday.

Foote also talked about how he is dealing with life without being on the field, and how he once threw a no-hitter and lost while growing up in Detroit.

Foote also talks about the Pirates and the upcoming game against the Cardinals, saying that it's difficult to have to get up after a tough loss like that and have to go to a Game 5 elimination game, but he has been there and you just have to regroup and get it done.
