PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A mother in Ambridge, Beaver County was hauled off to jail after her 5-year-old daughter was found home alone.
The little girl herself dailed 911, saying her mother left her alone for nearly two hours.
Heather Guido lives with her daughter in an apartment on Duss Avenue.
She waived her rights and gave police this statement: “I walked to CVS to drop off my prescription. They said it would be about 20 minutes. I then walked to 11th Street park (and) talked to my friend. Then text someone to see if they had any crack cocaine.”
Officer Zadock Dismuke tells KDKA the child was “very frightened, very scared. She wanted to go back to the police department. We got her something to eat. She hung out here and watched cartoons until we got some family here.”
Guido faces one count one child endangerment and one count of wreckless endangerment.
