Victim's Mom Pleading For Someone To Come Forward In Beaver Falls Fatal Shooting

BEAVER COUNTY (KDKA) – New details have emerged involving the shooting death of a Beaver County man.

Jerome Goosby, 45, was shot last month while standing with another man outside a bar in Beaver Falls.

But police and the victim's mother, Gloria Wall, believe he was not the intended target.

"He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time," she says.

Goosby was shot and killed on Sept. 14 around 3 a.m. outside the Beaver Falls Elks Club on 7th Street.

Since the shooting, police have interviewed witnesses and even have a person of interest, but not an arrest.

Beaver Falls Police Sgt. Thomas Lococo says someone needs to speak up.

"We are confident that people know who the shooter is. Word on the street is they know who the shooter is, but nobody will come forward and specifically tell us who the shooter is," Sgt. Lococo says.

Wall believes the mentality of the streets is keeping her son's killer out of jail.

"It's frustrating because I know there are people that have actually seen the shooter, they know who the shooter is. They don't want to be considered a snitch," Wall says.

Police are hoping that someone will come in and help them solve the case.

"If they're out there we need them to come in so we can speak with them so we can close this case out," Sgt. Lococo says.

Wall is just searching for closure.

"My son is gone, there's nothing I can do to bring him back. But I would like closure for him, myself, and even the shooter," Wall says.

The Beaver County Crime Stoppers are now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police.
