Driver Killed After Cement Truck Overturns, Hits Car

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A local cement truck driver was killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. in Mercer County on State Route 318.

Police say 51-year-old James Arthur Minteer of New Castle was killed when he ran off the road into a ditch, hit a culvert and was able to steer back onto the road until the truck overturned onto the passenger side.

The truck continued to slide down both lanes of the road, hitting another car.

Police say Minteer was not wearing a seat belt.

The 84-yearold driver of the second car sustained minor injuries.
