1 Stabbed In Market Square

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Authorities are investigating after a stabbing in Market Square late this afternoon.

According to emergency officials, it happened around 5 p.m. at Liberty Avenue and Market Street.

The victim was stabbed in the neck with a razor blade, emergency officials report.

According to the Public Safety Notification from Point Park University, the suspect remains at large.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" and a medium build. He was said to be wearing a a suede shirt or jacket, blue jeans, and blue shoes. He also has braids in his hair.

There's no word on the victim's identity or what prompted the stabbing.

The victim was taken to Allegheny General Hospital and is in critical but stable condition.
