1 Dead, 2 Injured In Hempfield Twp. Crash

HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One person was killed and at least two people were injured in a Friday night crash in Westmoreland County.

According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of State Route 119 and Forbes Trail Road around 10:45 p.m.

A 2007 Toyota Tundra traveling south on Forbes Trail Road failed to stop at a stop sign and hit a 2009 Chevrolet Impala.

The 66-year-old man driving the Impala was flown to Forbes Regional Hospital, where he later died.

Two people in the Tundra were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries.

Names of all involved have not been released at this time.
