Car Damaged In Beaver Co. Rock-Throwing Incident Was Carrying Baby

BIG BEAVER BOROUGH (KDKA) — Sami Mayer literally didn’t know what hit her.

She was driving down Route 18 in Big Beaver Friday night when someone threw a rock that smashed into her windshield, shattering the glass and sending pieces flying on to her and her passenger, Bre Nalesnik.

Nalesnik’s 7-month-old son was in the backseat.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

State police say 13 other drivers also reported damage to their cars.

Trooper Rob Lagoon thinks someone threw rocks and other debris from a hill above the highway.

He says anyone with information about who is responsible should call police.
