Hurdle, Nutting Honored At Chuck Tanner Awards
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle was honored at a special ceremony Saturday night.
The seventh annual Chuck Tanner Awards Banquet was held at the Rivers Club in Downtown Pittsburgh.
Hurdle, the 2013 National League Manager of the Year, Pittsburgh Pirates owner Bob Nutting, and former Pirates pitcher Kent Tekulve all took home awards.
"It is very, very humbling, you know, coming here three years ago almost to the day, and to be fortunate enough to receive the award, it's touching and it's gratifying to accept it on behalf of the organization," said Hurdle.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Pittsburgh Rotary Club.
