Police Investigate Fatal Overnight Shooting In Ellwood City

LAWRENCE COUNTY (KDKA) – Police are investigating an overnight shooting in Ellwood City.

It happened around 2 a.m. in the 400-block of Loop Street.

One victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition. However, later Saturday afternoon, the mayor of Ellwood City confirmed that the person had died.

They have still not been identified.

No word on what prompted the shooting.

One person is in custody, but so far no charges have been filed.

Police are also investigating another shooting in McKeesport.

The victim showed up at UPMC McKeesport around 1:30 a.m., but it’s unclear where or why he was shot.

No word on his condition.
