Police Issue Arrest Warrant In McKeesport Shooting
McKEESPORT (KDKA) — Allegheny County Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect wanted in a shooting outside of a McKeesport bar early Thursday morning.
Police say 22-year-old Clarence Moore is facing counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and other gun charges.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Thursday outside of Bubba’s Bar in the 300-block of Ringgold Street. Police say officers patrolling the area heard the gunshots.
At the scene, police found the victim – identified as 23-year-old Philip Gentry – lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
He was taken to a local hospital where police say he remains in critical condition.
According to police, officers chased the suspect’s vehicle as it left the scene. It was eventually stopped in the parking lot of the McKeesport Towers where police say Moore got out and ran into the woods.
Police searched for him, but were not able to find him.
Moore is described as five-foot-10-inches to six-feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. He is known to frequent the Mon Valley neighborhoods of Braddock and McKeesport.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police also arrested 20-year-old Jordan Hardy in connection with the shooting. He’s facing charges of receiving stolen property and firearms violations.
