PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers LB Larry Foote is back in studio with The Fan Morning Show in his regular weekly spot talking about the two big issues facing the Steelers right now, Tomlin and the playoffs.
He says that he has been on the sidelines with Coach Mike Tomlin for years now, and he has always seen him turn his back and watch the play on the scoreboard. He hopes the NFL will watch the previous sideline videos to see if this one incident is legit.
“Obviously, I don’t see Tomlin doing that,” Foote said with a chuckle playing off of one of Tomlin’s favorite words.
Does Larry think there was intent there?
“There is a possibility for everything,” he added.
He admits it will be interested to see how the league handles this; and while watching the new video shot by KDKA-TV with us in studio, he is still not sold he has seen anything that would look fishy.
He says the issue would have been much worse had the Steelers found a way to win the game, but if we watch the tape that Jacoby Jones would have been tackled anyway.
So does Larry think Tomlin did anything on purpose?
“I am still on the Pittsburgh roster, and he is still my boss, so I support Mike T,” Foote said.
He thought that the Steelers were going to find a way to win that game in Baltimore. It just felt like it was going to happen, but now that they failed to win they are going to need some help.
Larry says they still have a real shot, but there is no margin for error the rest of the way.
Larry also tells the guys that RB Le’Veon Bell is doing just fine and should be good to go for Sunday. Larry says he also has been impressed with the play of LB Jason Worilds who has had a great season but he needs to finish.
Larry also tells the guys that plays like Bell’s make you think about the dangers of playing this game, but he says he loves the game too much to stop.
