1 Dead in Westmoreland Co. Crash

EAST HUNTINGDON (KDKA) – One person is dead after an early-Tuesday morning crash in Westmoreland County.

According to police, the accident happened around 2 a.m. along Route 31 in East Huntingdon Township.

Police said a pickup truck slid under the back of a tractor-trailer on Route 31 near Hockey Road.

The accident scene was still blocked off as of 5:30 a.m.

So far, the identity of the victim has not been released.

It doesn’t appear the driver of the tractor-trailer was seriously hurt.
