PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Bruce Gradkowski Show spoke with 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi Monday about how it felt to come close to winning Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Even though the Steelers didn’t get the results they were hoping for in the 34-28 defeat, Gradkowski takes pride in how the team played.
“We played hard,” Gradkowski stated. “It’s tough, man, it’s tough to swallow.”
Gradkowski was in shock after the final play of the game, thinking that the team had been able to convert an exciting multi-reverse touchdown and finally gotten a break after a year of unfortunate plays.
But he was devastated when upon second look, receiver Antonio Brown barely stepped out of bounds only 13-yards from the end zone, providing yet another example of things not going the Steelers’ way.
As for the rest of the season, even though many people are writing the Steelers out of the AFC playoff picture, Gradkowski maintains the team will continue to forge ahead.
“We still have a great group of guys in that locker-room,” Gradkowski said. “We will continue to fight and who knows what will happen.”
