PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Larry Foote spoke with 93.7 The Fan’s Andrew Fillipponi Wednesday about the progress of a couple of the younger members of the Steelers defense.

The next three weeks are going to be big for fourth year linebacker Jason Worilds as he heads into free agency.

Although sacks get a lot of attention, Foote is more impressed by the performance of Worilds against opposing run games and in his tackling.

The sad part about this league is that it is difficult to keep everyone who is playing well together on one team for long.

“We can’t forget that this is a business,” Foote said. “It always comes down to the money.”

Rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones is another player who Foote describes as very special.

Jones has a toughness that will serve him well as the first year player continues his career.

“He owns up to it when he makes mistakes. You want rookies like Jarvis Jones,” Foote stated. “He’s humble, he asks the right questions, and he comes to play.”
