Man Injured After Being Hit By Bus

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man suffered a severe leg injury when he was hit by a bus on Pittsburgh's North Side.

Paramedics responded to the accident at the intersection of Lacock and Sandusky streets just before 11 a.m. Friday.

The accident happened as the bus made a left hand turn. This man reportedly stepped off the curb walked to the middle and looked to the left, that's when the bus hit him.

Witnesses say at one point the 33-year old man's leg was pinned under the Beaver County Transit bus.

People on the bus ran to help the man, they say he was lying in a pool of blood, as medics worked to free his leg.

He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

Witnesses say the man's name is Devin Scott, and that he was conscious and alert.
