Man Arrested After Allegedly Punching Teen At Sunday's Steelers Game

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A man was arrested Sunday after officials say he drunkenly sucker punched a teenager at the Steelers game.

Police say 24-year-old Shane Martin of Springdale punched a 15-year-old boy during the game at Heinz Field.

Martin was found by police trying to reenter the stadium after he was ejected by stadium officials who said he was intoxicated and violating Heinz Field policies. Police say at the time, Martin was also being chased by a male who said he had sucker punched a member of his high school football team.

After that, police say the teen was found flushed and with "blood gushing from his nose." He was taken Mercy Hospital with a broken nose.

Police also say Martin appeared to be highly intoxicated and acted aggressively toward officers.

Martin was taken to the Allegheny County Jail and charged with public drunkenness, defiant trespass and aggravated assault.
