DeCastro: O-Line Has Really Come Together

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers guard David DeCastro joined The Fan Morning Show on Monday in his regular weekly spot with special guest host Larry Foote.

The guys talk to David about how is really becoming a great player and now you hear his name being compared to the likes of Alan Faneca, which is a true honor for any Steelers' offensive lineman.

"I always recognize the bad plays more than the good ones." DeCastro said.

However, he admits he can see the improvement in himself this year.

"I've gotten better as the season progressed. It speaks to the entire line. We have all improved."

David said the loss of center Maurkice Pouncey in the first game really threw this team for a loop. He says he thinks the o-line has grown so much this year, but they are not perfect. They are still struggling to run the ball like the Steelers usually do.

"We have to be prefect in the running game," DeCastro said. "We have given them too many reasons to not call the run."

Those reasons are missed assignments, poor blocks and penalties.

David also talks to the guys about his new best friend Larry Foote and what his plans are for his Christmas present.
