PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers linebacker Larry Foote joined The Fan Morning Show on Monday in his regular weekly spot.

He said he knew the guys would ask him where that performance has been all year, which resulted in a 30-20 win over the Bengals on Sunday night.

“We didn’t give up big plays, We protected that ball and we put up points,” Foote said. “That is the Steelers’ way.”

Foote said he was surprised to see the Bengals, who had so much to play for, not come out ready to play Sunday night.

“They didn’t come out with energy and match our intensity,” Foote said.

They got behind the 8-ball early with some miscues.

“Maybe they were shocked by so many empty seats,” Foote said.

He admits as a fan he would have had a real decision to make going to that game being as cold as it was. But, it was still shocking to see Heinz Field so empty.

“Something new,” Foote said. “I was shocked.”

Listen to all of Larry’s segments below including his thoughts on players who may not return in 2014 and his visit with Coco.

Larry Foote joins The Fan Morning Show every Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. during the Steelers season on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
