Slick Conditions as Snow Falls

PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Drivers are having a hard time getting around on Christmas Eve, thanks to some snow in the Pittsburgh area.

There have been numerous reports of accidents and Washington County seems to be especially slick.

There was a crash involving 2 vehicles and 2 semi trucks along I-70 in South Strabane Township. It has I-70 eastbound lanes in that area shut down.

There was also a crash along I-79 in Washington County, near the Weaver Road exit in Canonsburg.

And a crash along Route 50 shut down the road between Washington Avenue and Westland Road in Mount Pleasant. The crash brought down some utility wires on the road.

So far, there are no serious reports of injuries in any of the accidents.

Police are urging motorists to use caution when going out this morning.

We're only expected to see around an inch of snow, with most of it tapering off by 11:00 a.m.
