5 In Custody After Chase Through Several Neighborhoods
MUNHALL (KDKA) -- Five people are in custody after a police chase this afternoon through the Swissvale, Homestead and Munhall areas.
It all started around 2:20 p.m. for a report of shots fired along Woodstock Street in Swissvale.
Police canines were called in with other emergency officials and helped to bring the suspects into custody.
Two of the suspects were taken into custody in the 1000-block of East 8th Avenue, two more were caught a little ways away in the 1500-block of East 8th Avenue.
The final suspect was found at the crossing of Marigold Street and Whitaker Way in Munhall.
An officer was taken to the hospital after having some trouble breathing.
