Police Probe Suspicious Death In Salem Twp.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- State police are investigating what 911 dispatchers in Westmoreland County are calling a suspicious death.

Investigators were called to a trailer court in the 200-block of Hawk Drive just before 5 p.m. in Salem Township.

According to neighbors, a woman was found dead inside her home.

A Westmoreland County Coroner's Office spokesperson identifies the woman as 51-year-old Dawn Marie Wagner. The spokesperson says the woman's body was found by the trailer park's manager and the woman's estranged husband.

The coroner's office reports that investigators are treating the case as a homicide.

She was last heard from on Monday.

The Westmoreland County District Attorney was called to the scene late Thursday night.

Neighbors say the victim has only lived in the neighborhood for a couple of months.

"They just said it was a homicide and they couldn't release more information," said Courtney Miller, a neighbor. "It's scary. I got kids; I don't like it."

State Police continue to investigate.

They have scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. Friday.
