Sprinkler Pipe Bursts At Middle School

MUNHALL (KDKA )- School will still be held Thursday at Steel Valley Middle School, despite a sprikler pipe bursting Wednesday night.

It happened just before midnight last night at the Middle School, which is located on Main Street in Munhall.

Superintendent Ed Wehrer says a sprinkler system burst and flooded the bottom floor of the middle school.

Wehrer says emergency crews quickly got on scene and capped the water, limiting the damage.

Crews worked throughout the night to dry the effected classrooms and hallways.
