1 Dead, 1 Injured In Lawrence Co. Crash
NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person is dead and at least one other person was injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in Lawrence County.
The crash happened at the intersection of State Line Road and West Poland Road in North Beaver Township, near the Pennsylvania-Ohio border.
Police say an SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection and then struck another car, pushing it into a house and knocking down a utility pole.
A woman inside the car was killed.
A man in that car was flown to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, for treatment.
There's no word on his condition.
The driver of the SUV was being evaluated inside of an ambulance at the scene.
He's expected to be okay.
Wires also came down when the vehicle struck the pole.
