Temperatures To Remain Low Through Rest Of January
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – We're past the polar vortex, but more cold temperatures are headed our way.
A clipper moving our direction will raise temperatures slightly Sunday, but scattered snow showers in the Pittsburgh-area will likely bring another inch or two of snow by Sunday.
However, by Tuesday the temperatures will drop off with highs in the mid-teens.
"The bottom drops out Wednesday morning with a low of 3 (degrees)," said meteorologist Kristin Emery.
Through the rest of January, temperatures will remain in the teens and twenties – with one warmer day squeezed in as next Saturday's high is 38 degrees.
It's a far cry from the polar vortex, but will still leave the end of January quite cold.
