Craig Adams: 'If There Was An Easy Answer We Would Fix It'

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Penguins forward Craig Adams joined The Cook and Poni Show on Tuesday morning for his regular weekly spot following a horrible showing at the Consol Energy Center last night.

The Florida Panthers beat the Pens 5-1 to end their franchise record streak of 13 straight home wins.

"We didn't look good," Adams said.

He says he would say it's more of a question of where everyone is mentally right now than a question of the effort on the ice.

He admits the poor play has been something that the team has been discussing for weeks now.

"If it were an easy answer, we would fix it," Adams said. "We know we are a good team and we know how we need to play."

Adams tells the guys that they need to focus on what makes them a good team. They need to play a north/south game and have speed and aggressiveness.

Adams was congratulated by the guys for playing in his 255th consecutive game last night. He said he was unaware of it until he was told by Dan Potash prior to the game.

Adams also as a fourth line guy talks about the fight that broke out in Vancouver just two seconds into the game. Adams says he has no problem with anything that happened.

"Until you take fighting out of the game and I am not saying that I want that to happen, but until you do, you can't blame guys for fighting," Adams said.
