Police Seek Suspect In Larimer Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are searching for a man who they consider armed and dangerous in connection with fatal shooting on Monday afternoon in Larimer.

According to Pittsburgh Police, they are seeking information on the whereabouts of 29-year-old Rodney Howard, Jr.

Authorities say he will face one count of criminal homicide in connection with the shooting death of 37-year-old Hosea Davis of Homewood.

The shooting happened around 1 p.m. Monday in the 6400-block of Rapidan Way.

Investigators say Davis was chased down the street and shot in the back at least 16 times, possibly with some type of assault rifle.

Howard is described as five-feet-11-inches tall, weighs about 210 pounds and is known to reside in Larimer. Police say he frequents the eastern neighborhoods and also had an address in McKeesport.

Davis was in the news last year when he helped a teenage girl who was stabbed inside the Target in East Liberty.
