Pitt Football Star Aaron Donald Impressing At Senior Bowl

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt football star Aaron Donald cleaned up in the awards department this past season, and that has carried over to the postseason as well.

It was announced that Donald has won the Most Outstanding Overall Player award at the Reese's Senior Bowl practices during the Alabama Power Practice Award ceremony Thursday night.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Mike Smith was working with the North team this week and said, "Donald is a very explosive defensive tackle," adding that he has "been very impressed with him."

Last year's winner of this award was Central Michigan's offensive tackle Eric Fischer, who later went on to be the number one overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Donald came to the Senior Bowl after cleaning up in the award department this year receiving the Bednarik, Lombardi, Nagurski and Outland awards while also being named the Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
