Heinz Commercial To Air During Super Bowl
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – While the Steelers are not going to be playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, a piece of Pittsburgh will be represented.
Heinz will have a 30-second commercial during the big game.
According to the company, this will be the first time in 16 years that they will have a commercial airing during the Super Bowl.
The commercial features a wide array of people dispensing ketchup onto hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and more while humming "If You're Happy and You Know It."
One scene in the commercial features a group of tailgating football fans. However, they are wearing green and the stadium in the background is not Heinz Field.
KDKA-TV reached out to Heinz about this, and they have released the following statement:
"Though we considered a number of different production locations, the ad was shot in a warm-weather location in order to maximize daylight hours for filming the ad in December."
