Steelers DE Brett Keisel Not Ready To Call It Quits

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Many veterans that the Steelers have let go the last few years have opted for retirement rather than trying to extend their career with another team, but don't count Brett Keisel among those if the Steelers don't elect to bring him back.

According to Justin Rogers of MLive.com, Keisel recently did an interview with 105.1-FM Detroit and said if the Steelers don't bring him back, he's planning on testing the free agent market.  One potential team Keisel could see himself playing for is the Detroit Lions.

Keisel commented on all the weapons the Detroit Lions have and how he thinks they're going to "make some noise next year."  The Lions and Keisel might be an ideal fit for each other as the team could be losing defensive ends Willie Young and Israel Idonije leaving an opening at the position, and Keisel could bring some postseason experience to a team lacking it.

Meanwhile, Steelers Linebacker Larry Foote recently joined The FAN Morning Show to discuss the future for many of the Steelers' veterans.

Stay tuned to 93-7 The FAN for the latest Steelers offseason news.
