Pitt Assistant Coach Brandin Knight Talks Fallout From Duke Loss

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Pitt Assistant Coach Brandin Knight joined Starkey and Mueller to discuss how the Panthers plan on bouncing back from their loss to Duke.

"The first thing I said is, 'I tip my cap to them,'" Knight said.  "They made plays when they needed to and the opportunities that we had, we didn't capitalize on. Their guys made plays, especially their bench guys.  Those are some of the things that we couldn't allow to happen."

The loss to Duke by 15 points has many questioning how good the Panthers really are.

Knight was asked for his evaluation of the team.

"Eighteen-3, as far as what's on paper. We can only play our schedule, and right now, we're 18-3 overall, 6-2 in our conference," Knight told the guys. "Virginia is coming up, and we have to take care of business when it comes to them, and aside from that, the rest just gives you things to talk about.  The only team we got to prove something to is Virginia on Sunday."

We also talked with Knight about the impact of Mike Young and Jamel Arits; and being a point guard himself, the advice he gives to James Robinson on his game.
