Police ID Man Accused Of Shooting IUP Student In Road Rage Incident

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The suspect accused of shooting an IUP student Thursday in a road rage incident is now in police custody.

Police identified 29-year-old Eagan Minich as the suspect Friday morning.

Then, this afternoon, he turned himself in to state police.

Early Thursday morning, 20-year-old Hayden Warmke was hit in the head and shot in the leg when police say he got in a confrontation with Minich.

Police say Minich became angry after a passenger in Warmke's car got out to secure a rear hatch. Minich then continued to drive aggressively before following Warmke into a parking lot and assaulting him.

Police are still searching for Minich, according to the Post-Gazette. The newspaper reports that his last known. address was 5800-block of Old Route 56 in Indiana.
