CLEARFIELD (KDKA) — The ice caused significant traffic troubles on sections of Interstate 80 Wednesday morning.

A 13-mile stretch between the Clearfield and Kylertown exits was closed after a massive chain-reaction crash.

The accident involved about 50 vehicles and several tractor trailers.

The eastbound lanes reopened before noon and the westbound lanes opened later in the day.

About 14 people were taken to the hospital for minor to moderate injuries.
