Pitt's Head Wrestling Coach Jason Peters Tells Colin About The Team's Success

PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) - It's been a successful year so far for the University of Pittsburgh wrestling team.

Head coach Jason Peters joined Colin Dunlap Thursday night on 93-7 The FAN to discuss the team's 13-3 overall, 6-0 in conference record that made them the ACC regular season champions.

Colin asked Peters if when he took the job he thought he would have so much success so early on.

"I felt we would, we have some good guys on the team, some committed kids, some committed coaches, so I felt we were capable of winning the conference," he said.

As the ACC and National Championship tournaments approach Colin asked Peters if the team could carry over their regular season success into the postseason.

Peters believes the team can be successful.

"I think if our guys show up, believe in themselves, focus on the wrestling and not make it more than it is, we will have a lot of success," Peters said.
