South Union Twp. Crash Leaves 2 Dead

SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A two-vehicle accident on Route 119 in Fayette County has claimed the lives of two young people and left three others injured.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. at Walnut Hill Road near the Route 119 northbound exit in South Union Township.

According to state police, witnesses reported seeing a vehicle carrying four juveniles going at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle went out of control, crossed into the oncoming lane and then collided with another vehicle.

Two passengers in the speeding vehicle were killed, state police said. Two others suffered major injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

None of them have been identified.

There’s also no word on what caused the crash.
