Mystery Surrounds Disappearance Of Aliquippa Man
ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- Police in Aliquippa are investigating the strange disappearance of a 25-year-old man who apparently walked out of his home Wednesday night, while his wife was showering.
Carlino Swearinger and his wife, Jodena, were married in 2008 after they met online, and they attended college together at Penn State-New Kensington.
His wife said Carlino was the perfect husband; he didn't do drugs, didn't gamble and the two were always together.
On Wednesday night, as she was in the shower, Jodena heard a noise upstairs, their dog started barking, and when she went back upstairs, her husband was gone.
Jodena told KDKA TV's Ralph Iannotti, "It doesn't make any sense, there's no leads. I talked to the neighbors. My mom came over [last night] after police left, and looked through the neighborhood, too."
The missing man left behind his cell phone and jacket.
He doesn't drive.
His wife also says he suffers from severe migraine headaches, so severe they can often leave him confused.
Jodena's family and friends have begun putting up flyers in the Aliquippa neighborhood where the couple lived, in hopes that someone will recognize Carlino and contact local police.
Holding back tears, she said, "I just want my husband home safe. I love him."
Carlino is described as a Native American male who is 5-foot-10, about 150 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
His parents are now on their way to Pennsylvania.
