Sources: Ravenstahl Returns 2006 Super Bowl Trophy To FBI

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- At least one of the items missing from the office of the Pittsburgh mayor has now been returned.

The Waterford Crystal trophy, which commemorates the Steelers' 2006 Super Bowl win, has been missing until now.

But sources confirm former mayor Luke Ravenstahl and his attorney Chuck Porter met with the FBI a little over a week ago, and at that time, Ravenstahl returned the trophy.

Sources confirm the FBI still has the trophy.

KDKA asked Mayor Bill Peduto about the trophy on Wednesday.

"It's one of only a few pieces... one of the more valuable pieces missing as well," said Mayor Peduto.

Mayor Peduto says he provided the FBI with a detailed list of what was allegedly taken from the mayor's office or left behind and damaged.

"We sent a list of both property that was damaged and property that is missing to the FBI, estimates on that are approximately $200,000," said Mayor Peduto.

Sources confirm the FBI questioned Ravenstahl and his attorney regarding the list. Sources confirm the mayor was very cooperative with the FBI.

Sources confirm the mayor returned the Super Bowl trophy and nothing else.

Sources also confirm U.S. Attorney David Hickton told Ravenstahl and his attorney, "this case is out of our jurisdiction."

Sources confirm that Ravenstahl believes his name is being ruined, that he's been slandered and significant lies have been spread about him regarding what may or may not be missing from his office.

There's been no comment from the U.S. Attorney or the FBI.
