Pa. HS Swim Coach Resigning After Strip Club Job Flap

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) - A popular assistant high school swimming coach has resigned after someone anonymously complained that he also worked as a bartender at a central Pennsylvania strip club.

The Altoona Mirror reports 29-year-old Baron Leonard resigned his coaching job at the Hollidaysburg Area School Board meeting on Wednesday.

Leonard says he was working four jobs to make ends meet, including his $2,530-a-year part-time coaching position at Hollidaysburg Area High School and his bartending job at Club Coconuts in Altoona.

All but one swim team parent signed a petition asking the board to support him despite the anonymous complaint about his strip club job.

But Baron, who says he knows who made the anonymous complaint, says he no longer feels welcome in the district and is resigning by choice, not because he was forced out.
