PITTSBURGH (93.7 THE FAN) – The Pittsburgh Penguins have struggled since the Olympic break, but after winning their last two the team appears to be on the right track.

Pens defenseman Robert Bortuzzo joined Colin Dunlap Monday night on 93.7 The Fan and the guys discussed the on goings with the team as the regular season winds down.

Colin asked Bortuzzo about the poor play the team has been experiencing as of late.

Bortuzzo told Colin, “we knew we weren’t playing some of our better hockey there for a bit, I don’t know what you want to chalk that up to but we weren’t happy with it and we knew we had to step it up and we had a couple of solid efforts the last couple games.”

With the regular season almost over, the playoffs are fast approaching, so Colin asked Bortuzzo if the team is looking past the final games and focusing on the NHL playoffs.

Bortuzzo told Colin, “its an exciting time of the year, the weather is changing, playoff hockey is coming, but you want to stay focused on the task at hand which is tomorrow night and the last couple games we have.”
