Franklin Park Native Killed In Indianapolis Remembered At Vigil

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Family and friends of Nathan Trapuzzano gathered Monday night at Saints John & Paul Roman Catholic Church to remember the North Allegheny High School graduate.

Trapuzzano was gunned down early last Tuesday morning while out for his daily exercise run near his home in Indianapolis, Ind.

The 24-year-old Trapuzzano, who grew up in the Franklin Park area, was a devoted Catholic who was involved in pro-life ministry work along with his regular job as a computer programmer.

He lived in Indianapolis with his pregnant wife, Jennifer.

The couple was married last year.

At his funeral mass in Indianapolis on a Saturday, the priest who gave the homily concluded by saying, "I have no doubt Nathan forgave his murderers, because that's the kind of man I knew him to be."

Police think the killing involved two suspects, and the motive could have been robbery.

No one has been arrested.
