Spiders Spur Mazda Recall

Spiders are forcing Mazda to recall 42,000 vehicles.

The automaker says spiders may build webs in a vent hose and cause the fuel tank to crack.

That can lead to an increased risk of a fire.

The recall affects 2010 to 2012 Mazda 6 vehicles equipped with 2.5- liter engines.

Mazda says it will notify owners and dealers will fix the problem at no charge.

This is the second time in three years Mazda has issued a recall because of spiders.
