Man Dies After Being Hit By Train In Latrobe
LATROBE (KDKA) - Police are investigating after a man was hit and killed by a train in Latrobe early Tuesday morning.
According to the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office, the victim has been identified as 21-year-old Tyler Quakenbush.
A Norfolk Southern train traveling west struck Quakenbush in the area of Alexandria and Ligonier Streets shortly after midnight.
Quakenbush was found face down on the tracks and the coroner will perform toxicology tests to determine if alcohol or drugs were involved.
Quakenbush, a 2010 graduate of Latrobe High School, is believed to have been alone at the time of the accident.
