Mount Oliver SWAT Situation Ends Peacefully

MOUNT OLIVER (KDKA) – A SWAT incident in Mount Oliver came to a peaceful end Thursday morning.

According to officials at the scene, the incident started at a home in the 300-block of Jacobs Street around 4:30 a.m.

An allegedly mentally unstable man barricaded himself in a room with a screwdriver, scissors and a hammer.

A concerned person inside the home called 911.

After about three hours, the man was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
