PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Penguins forward Craig Adams joined “The Fan Morning Show” on Thursday to talk about his team’s second-round playoff matchup with the Rangers.
Adams told the guys that he and his teammates really didn’t have much of a preference as to whether they ended up with the Flyers or the Rangers in the second round.
“It doesn’t matter,” Adams said. “At least, from my experience, there wasn’t any talk about who would you rather play. Obviously, we’ve had our issues with the Flyers, but you know, at the same time guys welcome that challenge, always neat to go through them. But, at the same time, you know there’s no point in worrying about it, because you have no control over it.”
He knows that the ending to the Columbus series wasn’t ideal, but he hopes it still gives the team a boost moving forward.
“The way Game 6 ended is not the way we wanted it to end, and it kind of leaves a weird taste in your mouth,” Adams said. “Other than that, though, I think in Game 5 and Game 6 we played our best hockey in the series. So, hopefully we’re trending in the right direction.”
